Billing Policy

Windsor Family Medical Centre is a Mixed Billing Clinic.

We bulk bill patients with a Health Care or Pension Card, as well as children under the age of 5.

Bulk billing is available for all patients with a DVA Gold Card, as well as for eligible conditions with a DVA White Card, as these consultations are covered by the Department of Veteran Affairs.

All patients without a concession card (Heath Care or Pension Card) will be privately billed, except children under the age of 16 years.

Please note that all new patients booked with Dr Rayani aged 16 or above will be privately billed on their first consultation. On subsequent visits, concession card holders (Health Care & Pension Cards) will be bulk billed as per the practice’s usual billing policy.

Please note that ALL patients, regardless of concession status will be privately billed by Dr Amanda Hume, except under 16s.

All privately billed consults will be required to be paid for in the full amount in the first transaction and then a refund of your Medicare component will be returned back to your registered account. This can be done at the reception at the completion of your appointment.

If your bank account is set up with Medicare, you can receive your Medicare rebate automatically from Medicare. Please see here for details on the Medicare website: “How to claim a Medicare benefit”.
